Edgewood’s Rising Star Dyl Money Drops Powerful New EP "FACE THE STORM"

Emerging artist Dyl Money has come a long way from freestyling with friends as a kid to dropping his most polished project yet, the emotionally charged "FACE THE STORM" EP. What started as casual sessions on BandLab, crafting songs through iPhone headphones, has evolved into a refined sound that captures raw emotion and real-life struggles.

For Dyl, music was never the initial plan—until he realized he had a true gift. “I never thought much of it until I saw people actually vibing to my music,” he shares. After a friend introduced him to DistroKid, the game changed. The idea of having his music on mainstream platforms was surreal, but it pushed him to level up. He sought out a professional studio, determined to move beyond makeshift recordings and find his signature sound.

And he found it in pain music.

I realized speaking on real struggles came naturally to me,” Dyl explains. “When I started creating from that place, I made my best work.” The growth is undeniable when comparing his early project, Money Chronicles (recorded on an iPhone), to his latest release, FACE THE STORM—a project that showcases his lyrical depth, unique flow, and ability to turn struggle into art.

What Sets Dyl Money Apart?

In an industry flooded with trends, Dyl Money stands out by keeping it 100% real. His music doesn’t just reflect his own pain—it speaks for those who’ve been through similar battles. “Life’s not always easy, and problems aren’t simple to overcome,” he says. “But my music lets people know they aren’t alone in the dark.

Unlike many artists, Dyl doesn’t conform to a familiar style. He’s carved his own lane, blending raw lyricism with melodic pain rap, creating a sound that’s unmistakably his. His latest EP is proof, especially on tracks like “CRASHED OFF EARTH,” where he delivers one of his most hard-hitting bars:

“How u smile at me now if you knew I was hurt,
Why u treat me like I’m last but try to claim u put me first,
I’m always asking God for help but then I never go to church,
It take 1 man to go for good but it takes 6 to fill the hurst…”

That’s one of my favorites because it’s so true,” Dyl says. “People pretend, life is short, and we’re all chasing something—money, peace, survival. That’s what my music is about.

What’s Next for Dyl Money?
